Australian Alumni Awards 2018

The Australian Alumni Awards 2018 was another memorable evening honouring the outstanding achievements of Australian university and higher education graduates, whose endeavours reflect the best of Australian education. This prestigious event is not only a night of celebration organized to recognize the Award nominees and recipients, but also to allow the attendees to learn from Australian Alumni success stories, as Award winners and other finalists will share their experiences during the night.

The keynote speakers Khun Peetachai ‘Neil’ Dejkraisak, CEO at Siam Organic Co., Ltd. and Jasberry Co., Ltd., who is also a University of Melbourne Alumni, and H.E. Mr. Paul Robilliard, the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand.

Award Recipients

Alumni of the Year Award (joint winners)

  • Dr. Bandid Nijathaworn, President and CEO of the Thai Institute of Directors (La Trobe University).
  • Professor Emeritus Dr.Mingsarn Santikarn Kaosaard, Chair and Director of Public Policy Studies Institute Foundation, and Chair of the Advisory Committee on Social and Economic Research of National Research Council of Thailand (Australian National University).

Alumni Leadership Award 
Associate Professor Dr. Bundit Fungtammasan; Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (University of New South Wales)

Alumni Entrepreneurial Award
Mr. Rutchasit Hiranyaphinant, Chief Executive Officer / Growlab Agritech Company Limited (Australian National University).

Young Alumni Award
Ms. Purnima Ghogar Ruanglertbutr; Bangkok Patana School, Secondary English Teacher (University of New South Wales and University of Melbourne).

Alumni Community Engagement Award
Dr. Thira Woratanarat, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University (University of Newcastle).

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. For events organised by the Australian Embassy, AAA Thailand will submit names of alumni members to the embassy on a rotation basis. However, the final decision as to which alumni are invited rests with the Australian Embassy.
