Career, Education Expo and Networking (Khon Kaen)

Unlike the career and education expo in Phuket in March, the event in Khon Kaen adopted a different approach. A joint Australian education booth – providing space for various Australian universities and institutes – was set up at the University of Khon Kaen’s Education Expo. The Australian booth attracted quite a number of students enquiring about studying in Australia. In the evening, a networking dinner was held for alumni living in Khon Kaen. Many are lecturers at Khon Kaen University and other educational institutes in the Northeast. During dinner the alumni participants, most of whom were Colombo Plan students, took turns speaking to the group, sharing what they learned and what studying in Australia meant to them. About 85 person attended the expo and dinner.

Location: Khon Kaen University

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Since 2016, admission to AAA Thailand events have been free of charge. However, the AAA Thailand Committee reserves the right to charge nominal fees for certain events from July 2020 onwards. For events organised by the Australian Embassy, AAA Thailand will submit names of alumni members to the embassy on a rotation basis. However, the final decision as to which alumni are invited rests with the Australian Embassy.
